Sometimes small places have big secrets. One of Motueka’s (pop. 7,000) is that each year the Music Group organises 7-9 concerts of world-class chamber music in a superb concert chamber. What’s more we are able to maintain a very reasonable ticket price to ensure that cost is not a barrier. I am proud and delighted to be the new patron of the Motueka Music Group and support the work of the group in bringing world class artists to Motueka. There have been some absolutely outstanding concerts and with the help of Irene and Peter Goodman letting us use the Chanel Arts Centre, we have been able to keep the cost of entry tickets to the concerts very affordable. I have been a member of the Committee for the past eighteen years and the Motueka Music Group has always been very fortunate to have amazing committee members who are very dedicated and enthusiastic in organising the concerts. I will endeavour to continue to support them in all their efforts as the Patron of this wonderful group.
